Jack and Stand Combo,
August 19, 2008
By bill0706

"Bought this little gem some time ago to lift my '02 Vette. It's hard to find a jack that is low enough to do the job correctly , but this one fits the bill. It is nice that it has the speed that it does since one must be right down on the concrete to do the job. The older you get the less time you wish to be on your knees on the hard stuff. I haven't had the first problem out of the unit to date and it's ready to work whenever I am. Excellent product for the garage. If you decide to buy, go ahead and invest in the second pair of stands, if you own a Vette you'll need them."

So-so reliability,

"First use was great for about the first hour or so then wouldn't hold any weight. Played with various screws and fastenings looking for something loose. Found it eventually (labeled DO NOT TOUCH, go figure). Touch wood it'll keep working now.
Jack stands work just fine."

"very well packaged, very good finish - I think it will look good for a long time. Assembly directions were a little poor, but there's not that much to put together so it wasn't bad at all. Good value at the Northern price compared to one I saw at Gander Mtn."

better than blue point,
March 7, 2007

"Was going to buy the aluminum blue point jack with stands. From snap on, its 0 plus tax. Then I recieved the email special with this jack with stands. They are alomst the same exact units. Very minor differences that don't make up the price difference. Very low entry height easily get under my lowerd car and it does jack up to a very respectable height. It is very stable at full extension and doesn't feel or look weak. And this thing is a work of art. I almost cried the first time I dragged it across my floor. Everything seems very high quality from the anodizing right down to the hardware. Great buy."

Great combo for going mobile!,

"The jack is relatively light. It's a little larger than I need for taking with me on track day, but too large is better than too small. The jack stands are just the right size and weight for track day or long car trips; they are well made, light and compact. I'm not sure I would use the stands every day as large steel stands would be better suited for the task. But for going with me in the car, this is a great pair."

"Aside from looking like a real professional piece of equipment this jack is real easy to use being as lite as it is. Easy to position and just a few pumps to get your ride up in the air. Highly recommended."

Big Red Jack,

By Paintm4u

"I always wanted an aluminum jack for the light weight and easy manuverability and this one fits the bill perfectly. Its quick pump up rate and rock solid stability are top notch. It has a low entry hight and its one of the best looking jacks I've ever seen. It works as good or better than jacks costing hundreds more. The bonus jack stands that come with it are the best looking and smoothest functioning ones I've ever used. I highly recommend this combo set."
