Good Light Duty Saw,
August 20, 2008
By JMD1from Mesquite, TX
"The saw is great for light duty! It is easy to move to different degrees, the blade is really pricey! But effective! The laser is not very effective at all, it is not bright enough to be seen during day light hours, even at midnight the laser marker is hard to see! Also, the battery cover broke when I installed the batteries! In all, the saw does what it is intended to do!"

12" Sliding Miter Saw,
April 14, 2008
By javmanfrom MN
"Unit is excellent in construction and operation. Sliding mechanism works well as does the blade brake and rotating table. The bevel cut mechanism is a little more difficult to operate and the indicator arrow is too easy to change. The laser battery compartment latching mechanism needs fine tuning as this is the second one I have had that would not hold the batteries in without taping the door shut."

12" Sliding Compound Mitre Saw,
October 24, 2007
By vargserfrom Elizabethtown, KY, Retired
"Overall this tool works okay for home use. The bevel handle lock was broken off when delivered, it was also missing the twisting lock mechanism for mitre cuts. I made my own temporary parts as Customer Service promised replacement parts. Found out today all parts are back ordered until 14 December 2007 and another 5-7 days for shipping, ha! Also, the blade is not a standard blade as the arbor hole for this saw is 3/4" and all other 12" blades are 1" arbor. That said you can only get the blades through northern tool, to the tune of 59 bucks and that is robbery for as cheap as these blades are made. Though as I said before for home use not a bad deal, I guess and you can use an adapter (a washer) with a 3/4" hole and a outside diameter of one inch, for use in other blades."

"Not the best saw, but for the money you won't buy any better. Dust bag is in my opinion useless, laser little bit off, but I can live with that. I wouldn't buy it for professional use, but for handy homeowner this is good enough. The blade that came with the saw is poor quality. Mine was even missing two teeth. I was promised the blade will be replaced with no problem."
