"If your looking for an easy and hasel free way to sharpen your chains. This is what your looking for. Its so easy to use even I can do it with no problems. Just read the instructions carefully and with just a little common sense you'll have it made. The only thing to remember is to wash fileings off with a bit of oil as you go along. That way you do not damage your sprocket."

The new chain !,
August 12, 2008
By puppitmaster007

"I love this chain sharpener. It has made all of my chains like factory new. I have tried two other chain sharpeners and they were a waste of money. Now if Gran berg would make a chain bar guide jig to sharpen the chains when they are not on the the chain saw itself i would be in the house. It is worth the money !!!!!! Once it is set up up, sharpening is a breeze."

Granberg Bar-Mount Chain Saw Sharpener,
January 14, 2008
By resteph
from Pearisburg, Virginia

"Using the Granberg Bar-Mount Chain Saw Sharpener that I purchased from Northern Tool helps me save time when cutting wood. When the chain get a little dull, in seconds I can mount the sharpener on the saw bar and sharpen the teeth in a few minutes. It also saves on cost because it correctly sharpens the chain the first time. I don't have to keep filing the chain over and over to get it right. A great product for the weekend or professional woodman"

Too Complicated For Most Amateurs,
July 9, 2007
By Woodsman
from West Texas

"I'm an experienced chainsaw user. I hand file and machine file chains extensively. I bought this sharpener because of its reputation as a 'classic' of years gone by. It is time consuming to set it up properly; and, current technology makes it essentially obsolete. But its a great collectors item and will be on display in my shop."

Granbery Bar-Mount Chain Saw Sharpener,
March 8, 2007
By ciscowoodcutter
from cisco,texas
|
"this sharpener was so easy to use that i was able to sharpen all my chains in about half of the time that i was spending before. the easy to read dials were useful and easy to adjust, the only problem i had was that the instruction manual was not clear as it was clearly a copy of the original. after using a magnafying glass was i able to read the instructions clearly enough to make out what they were'. this is my only complaint about this product."

Hard to improve on perfection,
March 6, 2007
By Tombo
from Big Otter, WV

"This sharpener may have a 35 year old design, but I doubt you can find a better one for twice the price. I already owned a Craftsman electric grinding sharpener and this manual tool outperforms it hands-down. I was so pleased with it that I bought 2 more to give as presents, and to keep mine from being borrowed. A friend has one of the original model 106A's, and it's nice to see that this company hasn't cheapened their products over time like so many others do."
