"I haven't really had a very cold day to check out the stoves heating ability, but the stove is very nice and seems to work very well. Its appearence enhances my cabin' interior and the fire is relaxing to watch. The few days that I did use it, it raised the temperature in my cabin 20 deg. in a matter of minutes. I also have a wood burning stove, but this gas heater is just the trick for those mornings & days that it just isn't feasable to start a roaring fire [Get the chill out]. For the price, this stove is well worth it. I also purchased the Black Granite with Oak Trim Hearth Pad and while it is very nice I was a little disapponited that the oak trim was manufactured materials and not real oak. This didn't make allot of sence since the granite appears real. Oh well, again for the money it was well worth it. The hearth pad really adds to the beauty of the stove and I recommend a pad if you purchase this stove."

"We just love this stove! its the second one we purchased from Northern and I'm ready for another one in my large house. The two I have have saved us hundreds of $$$ last winter and with oil prices where they are, another one will pay for itself by January."

"I purchased this hearth pad approximately 3 months ago to go with my propane stove. It's a perfect compliment to the fireplace. The black granite goes very nice with the black stove and the oak trim goes along well with my oak wood floors. It's very sturdy and easy to clean. Just wipe with a soft cloth. It's definitely a great product at a great price. I highly recommend it."

"We put this in our living room about 2 months ago, and we LOVE it! Our home is set up a bit weird, which made it difficult to heat the living room with the propane furnace that heats the rest of the house. Until we put this stove in, we didn't use the living room at all in the winter. It is now our favorite place to spend time. We rarely turn the thermostat over 1, and it stays very comfortable. The room heats up within minutes, and the heater is very fuel efficient. We installed it ourselves in just an hour or so..We couldn't be happier with it!"

"Mine is the redwood trim pad, Oak was not available at the time of purchise.
It fits the Pro Con fireplace very well and it gives the fireplace a richer look.
It ia a nice product and well worth the money"
