A great welder at a great price,
April 24, 2008
By dieselguyfrom Chicago
"This welder does just about anything you could possibly need around the home and then some. I've used it on just about everything and it works great. Its smaller then the 220v units and much more portable because you can use it almost anywhere. It is also great for really thin metals, something not all the larger units can do as well. I highly recommend the unit. No disappointments here."

Hobart 140,
April 22, 2008
By Frosty1800from Hurst , Texas
"This is a great way to get started with its reostat you have smoother control of your weld and the 6 gage wire its thicker then the lincoln 3200 weld pak also lincoln use a tack system instead of a reostat. So your weld with the Hobart will be done in less time because your not going back over redoing your welds. The price is great and Northern tool has great customer service."

April 22, 2008
By turbomattfrom Carson NV
"I have put over 20 Pounds of wire through this little welder and it still is running strong. This is a great welder for welding almost everything on a truck. From spring hangers to roll cages. The only issue I have with it is it need more control over the amperage."

need a mig get this one,
April 21, 2008
By chad80tafrom Attalla, AL
"this is a mean little welder, and that is a good thing. I do custom fabing car parts and this more than fits the bill. well built and tuff. I looked at other welders and compared for about 6months before i bought this one. All the guys i know that weld said miller was the best and hobart is made by miller (even the gun on this welder is miller). hobart is the affordable version of miller. So if you want a great welder for little money this is the right one."
