"I am a fine artist who uses a heat gun as one of my primary tools in creating my paintings. The Makita Electric Heat Gun, #HG1100 replaces a heat gun purchased 5 years ago. What I prefer about the Makita is that it's so much lighter and quieter. I spend up to 5 hours a day using this so the weight and noise can be a real issue for me. I am also very pleased with the variable heat settings which allow for a great range of settings. Plus, you can purchase additional nozzles that can be used to perform specific tasks. I am planning on offering art workshops and plan to purchase more of these for my students to use."

"I never thought I would love a heat gun, but this one is solid. The variable heat allows me to precisely set the heat so I can strip paint easily without scorching the wood."
