"I replaced the engine in my 1989 38" riding mower, this mower was given to me 5 years ago with a worn out engine, I procrastinated for a long time about keeping mower until engine finally just plain blew up. I questioned the value of repairing mower until NorthernTool bailed me out again. On one hand I could have spent more and replaced whole mover, but for the Price and quality I am glad I replaced engine. The exchange was flawless, no drilling in deck frame, no modifications needed for drive pulley, wiring needed a little work but only because engine was 18 years newer and a different make, but in all the yard work was only delayed about 90 minutes from the time I blew it up to when I started it back up."
