"What a great product! My wood splitter runs like a top now, with not a single "hitch in it's get-along"! Thanks too, to the very knowledgeable and helpful sales employees who assisted me with this purchase. They knew all of the answers (and more) to every question I posed, and promptly shipped my order as promised. I couldn't have been more pleased with the entire shopping experience. How often does one find such a combination? Reliable products AND friendly, honest service!"

B&S replacement Engine,
April 14, 2008
By Dave13from Petersburgh, NY
"I purchased this engine to replace another B&S on a log splitter. The older engine was no longer made so this was listed as a direct replacement. However, it was much higher and the shaft was not the same length as the old one. After some welding and replacement of shields and guards, the engine was mounted. The engine operates well and runs much quieter than the one it replaced. It is easier to start, run and shut down than the old one replaced. I would recommend this engine to anyone."

Briggs & Stratton 8hp Intek,

"I have used B&S engines for 20 years and this one laid an egg. In 12 months service I have replaced the coil and both push rods three times due to the valve guides riding up into the valve springs. I change the oil every 40 - 50 hours and use a gas additive. B&S engines usually give good service for several years."
