"Nice grinder for my shed. Old shovels, picks, rough edge metal, dull heavy duty blades are cured in a minute with this grinder. Strong and with eye shields and spark shields, one of the safest. Very satisfied with this grinder for my use and would recommend as a must have for any handyman."

Northern Tool bench grinder saves the Day,
January 23, 2008

"Working on my tractor I managed to strip the threads on the axle that holds a blade. I was able to use the Northern Tool bench grinder to grind down the first couple of threads on the axle to start fresh. The grinder had no problem taking a half inch off of some serious steel in no time. I highly recommend this grinder for it's low cost and great performance."

"The grinder works well, needs to be mounted due to amount of vibration. Once it is secured it works well."

Great Grinder for a Great Price,

By troutdog

"I have used this grinder many times and it has the power to most jobs. I installed a wire wheel and is great for cleaning those hard to clean parts. I have used many grinders of equal HP rating and this Northern brand has them beat. Thanks"

Power grinder,
October 29, 2007
By Humv

"I purchased this product last week and mounted it to my workbench. It has a heavy duty housing, strong electric motor and well equipped for the price. Powerful and easy to use. The only drawbacks are the heavy vibration if not anchored to something and a bit of difficulty when filing or grinding from inboard to outboard. The motor housing sticks out and restricts you contact angle to the grinding wheel. All in all I am still satisfied with this model. It sure makes sharpening my lawn mower blade a snap. Also they have a similar model with a light attachement which I think is extra handy for better visibilty when working."
