"I work for a caterpillar dealership where we commonly replace windshields, and if you have ever use a squeeze type caulking gun to apply adhesive for an enormous piece of glass, you could appreciate how well this gun works, and for the money everyone needs one. Very consistent lay down pattern also."

Air Cartridge Gun,
April 15, 2008
By RJinFayNC
from Fayetteville, NC

"For anyone with lots of caulking to do, the inexpensive Northern Industrial Tools Air Cartridge Gun is the answer! Pulling a trigger and letting your air compressor do all the work beats the "old-style" ratcheting caulk guns, hands down! The screw-off end allows easy cartridge loading, while also preventing the cartridge from accidentally falling out. I have used mine when caulking windows, repairing cracks in both asphalt and concrete, and sealing a leaky roof. The Air Cartridge Gun is made entirely of metal, and I see no reason why it should not last a lifetime, given proper care. I recommend it to all."

I bought it for the low price,

"I bought it for the low price. I am happy I did. I used it for the first time yesterday and it worked like a charm once I found the right pressure. It allows you to make one continuous bead easily. It's made of heavy gauge steel and seems to be quite rugged."

Caulking,
October 8, 2007
By Emit

"If you have access to a compressor and have caulking to do, I highly recommend this air caulking gun. I had looked at these before and it was recommended to me by a friend. I live in a log home and have to perodically recaulk the joints. This made the job so much easier and for the price it was well worth it. I read some of the other reviews which gave me some tips on how to use it. Set operating pressure between 30 and 40 psi, this seems to work best. It has a instant on and off trigger, so you don't have to worry about caulk coming out after you release the trigger. I also bought a pneumatic grease gun which works great. Compared to the old hand operated tools, these are definitly the way to go."

Pump Air Catridge Gun,
July 31, 2007
By saml
from South of Houston, Tx

"This is the fifth air catridge gun that I have purchased from Northern. It seems that every time I show mine to a friend they borrow it and I never seem to get them back. So... here's to number five.
I have used other types of cartidge air guns and they never seemed to get the job done without making some sort of mess. This gun works like a champ, making it much easier to complete those especially large, outdoor jobs where a large amount of caulking is required.
Thanks again for a great product."

"not only did the excellent service from Northern Tool impress me, but this pneumatic caulk gun's quality did too. Well worth the money I spent on it. It's all metal unlike most of the stuff you find elsewhere (it's plastic). I just wish the air regulator was more responsive otherwise, the product is exceptional."

Air Cartridge Gun,
November 21, 2006
By CDGossett
from South Carolina

"I enjoyed using the the air cartridge gun to seal several leaky areas, in the basement, my newly purchased home. However I had some initial confusion! First the advertisement said 50-70 PSI but the product instructions say 30-60. So I proceeded to load a cartirdge of a fairly a viscous caulk. I also decided to go full pressure (70 PSI). This worked fine for a while but at full pressure the plastic insert, the one on the bottom of the tube that moves forward and presses the caulk out, would often turn sideways and point itself 90 degrees from the position in which it functions. I found, with a little trial and error, this could be avoided by turning the pressure way down! And you can do do this by adjusting the pressure control just forward the air inlet. There was no need to adjust pressure at the compressor, which was nice. Once I figured it out caulking went fast and painlessly!!!"
