Bring back the old gloves,
January 25, 2008

"I have been using the 4"cuffed gloves from Northern for many years with success. After this last shipment, I won't be ordering them again. I could tell when I lifted the box they were shipped in, something was different. The box felt really light. The old ones were made by Wel-Bilt and stood up to the heavy use I put them through. I use them to load stone and firewood mostly. The new ones which are made by West Chester fall apart after one day. They might be o.k. for light duty work, but now I have 72 pair to suffer through. I will be on the lookout for a new glove. The only plus is the price."

Bad gloves,

"I have been ordering these gloves from you for a long time. The price is right and can order in large quantities. The last order of 2 dz. are very poorly made and don't last but one day in use. I know I do rough work but think they should last longer than one day! The lining comes out and they just don't last. Am real disappointed in this last batch I ordered."

Good for Ants (hay, ditches, clearing fences, etc),

"If you are working around ants - especially fire ants - the long cuffs give you a couple of extra seconds. They also take a lot of the cactus, sand burs, bull nettles, poison ivy, barbed wire, battery acid, and other surprises we find in Texas. My fingers usually wear out first or the palms get so stiff with diesel or chemicals, I have to change out. They're plenty tough - a pair lasts me about 3 months - and last as long as the ones I tried ONCE. They need bigger sizes, but I can get along with these - because of the long cuffs they fit me better than the XL size."

Gloves that stand real work!,
March 6, 2007

"I am an engineer on old time full size steam locomotives. These gloves have to stand up to grease, dirt, cold, heat, steam and very hot temperatures. For the price of these gloves you can't go wrong. I have bought these from Northern Tool for years and they get used very hard in rough conditions and stand up very well to the test. I would recommend these to anyone who wanted to get the most for their money!"
