Great for remote locations, April 15, 2008

"The Mighty Mule Solar Powered Battery Recharger works great. I used two chargers for a dual swing gate aplication in conjunction with an extra battery for a remote entry gate. Even on fairly cloudy days the units are developing up to 20 volts. I am very pleased."

"I guess it works,I haven`t had a battery issue yet.The battery distributor I bought my battery from recommended I use a Deep Cycle battery for the gate opener.The panel wires into the Mighty Mule it self,not to the battery directly.Also the istructions state aiming it due south.For my area it is better to aim it south west for a longer Sun Tracking.I mounted it about 30 feet high in a tree and then the ladder fell off the tree.I recommend taking a cell phone with you when up a ladder that high so you can call for help to get off of the tree.The mount hardwear is very strong,as that is all I had to hang onto."
