Great Electric Chain Saw.,
November 18, 2008
By Davherbfrom Sammamish, WA
"This is a well designed electric chain saw. It is a replacement for my 20 inch gas powered saw. It is much easier to use and cuts just as well. If you have electric power near where you need to do your cutting this is the way to go. No more mixing fuel and yanking on that cord. A heavy duty extention cord is a good idea. Dave"

Remington Electric Chain Saw,
August 11, 2008
By jj54868from Wisconsin
"I used the saw to cut up logs I had hauled to my back yard for cutting and stacking. The motor burned up after cutting up about 4 cords of wood. The service/warranty folks were great and sent me a replacement. The motor in that one burned up after cutting only 1 cord of wood. So I have since bought an electric chain saw from another manufacturer for about the same price and seem to be having better luck with it. It was light weight and easy to use when new.I liked the manual that came with it. I didn't like the way the chain loosened up after a while and had to be tinkered with all the time."

"excellent tool to have around. only drawback is it being electric. BUT, no more pulling the cord to try to get a chain saw to start! A definite plus!"

Tough little saw,
January 21, 2008
By LightStarfrom Hampton, Virginia
"I have used this saw through several winter seasons. I also use it for general duty around the house. It has cut through the roots of bushed I removed, taken a few pesky trees out from under my privacy fence and cut about 2 cords of firewood. The design is good. The hand guard provides more than enough protection. The chain is easy to remove. The oiling feature can be tricky, I had mine leaking oil as it sat, so I always store it on a rag. I think this was my fault for over pumping though, since it only happened one time. If the chain gets a little dull, this saw has a hard time cutting anything. PROS: Has enough power to cut through 14" hardwood (oak) rounds. Electric - it is always ready to run, no mixing, priming, etc ... Much quieter than a comparable gas saw. CONS: Electric - it doesn't leave the yard .. unless you use an inverter in your truck ;-) Chain dulls too quickly. I always take my sharpening file when I use this saw.
I only need a saw in my yard to cut firewood and odd jobs. I can cut about 15 - 20 logs before I have to sharpen the chain ... This saw is a winner !"
