"Cheap construction, but also cheap price. Setting lever cheap plastic, mine has broken off alredy. Also Impeller axel assembly weak. WILL NOT stand up tp the 85 lb rated capacity. Burns up and the plastic gears strip out."

Good Inexpensive spreader,

"The construction is so-so, but that is reflected in the price. It works well and does what it is advertised to do. Certainly it is for home use. It will not stand up to constant use. It is a good spreader for the price."

Agri-Fab Tow-Behind Broadcast Spreader,

"Ovreall custruction is good. However the on/off lever could be placed higher. Hard to reach while driving your ATV or lawn tractor. The lever could also be made of something other than plastic, it just seems like it will not be as durable over multiple uses. Also, I think that the weight rating is a little off! I planted a winter pasture seed mix and I only was able to fit about 40 lbs. in the spreader. I also used it to over seed my lawn and I only was able to fit a 50lb bag in it. As far as it being able to do the job, it did what they claimed. However, like I said before I will see just how well it holds up to the wear and tear."

Piece of Junk,
October 10, 2007
By Missiletech

"The first time I used it the plastic gear box flew apart due to excessive heat. There was no lubricant in the gear box, just plastic to plastic. I found the pieces and cleaned and packed the gear box with grease. I use tie wraps to secure the gear box. It worked fine the next time I used it. I just used it again and the gear on the axle shifted and caused the gears to strip out. Would not recommend this cheaply built piece of junk to anyone."

best little spreader,
July 10, 2007

"I bought this spreader for my 84 year old dad. He haslarge front and back yards, with tons of weeds. This spreader hooked right up to his JD tractor and he has delivered the final assault on the weeds and broad leaf plants with very little effort. He was able to use the adjustable dialing to delivery the right amout product. The best feature I think is the area the broadcaster covered, this is alot better then the drop type. The only drawback was that it started heating up and he had to use his own water to get the action started...LOL I would recommend this product to all residents of large yards"

Best Spread in Texas,
July 10, 2007
By Spnanna

"I purchased this broadcast spreader a couple of months ago and it has performed extremely well. Assembly was so easy a girl could do it -- and I did. I have 4 acres of Texas land and The Agri-Fab Tow-Behind Broadcast Speader has delivered appropiate amounts of weed control, red ant control, and fertilizer to my hilly, dirt and rock infested property. It is an easy-fill and easy-distribution system and has saved me many hours of labor -- just hook it up behind my lawn tractor and go. Thank you for such a fine product and a reasonable price."

"I have used other spreaders before but this one is very easy to use. I can look back and see how much material I have left in the spreader. With a wide Broadcast it really gets the job done fast. Terry"
