Heavy-duty tool no chainsaw should be without,
April 22, 2008
By SlyCy
from Cy (Opelousas, LA.)
|
"This tool exceeded my expectations in quality and heavy-dutiness. The handle is about the diameter of a soda can, so you won't easily break it and can handle large logs easily. It really allows for a safer use of a chainsaw. I highly recommend it."

Excellent Tool,
April 22, 2008
By CatskillJohn
from Catskill, NY
|
"Makes cutting long logs a lot easier. With some logs, wet ones with loose bark, it's hard to get the hook to grab -- i use a hammer to pound it in enough to catch, but mostly it works just fine. The handle is impressive."

Good product,
April 21, 2008
By TimCa
from Winterport, ME
|
"I bought this last year to help with my logging. The handle broke after a few uses but Northern Tool replaced it right away without any fuss. Since then, it has worked well. It helps to get the log off the ground so your blade doesn't accidently hit the ground and prematurly dull it."

3 ft Timberjack,
April 14, 2008
By Tazzzlbb
from BC Canada
|
"I like the timberjack because it is heavy enough to lift the end of a 70 foot fir it lifts the but high enough so the bar of my saw never touches the rocks or sand. I have used the timberjack on the beach and even there the log was still off the ground enough not to damage or dull the chain. It saves a lot of back breaking work, time and money."

Timberjack works great!,
April 14, 2008
By wdawesherpa

"This 3 foot timberjack has great leverage. The catalog image does not show how thick the handle is (as wide as a baseball bat!) The strong handle is able to lift very heavy logs. It was easy to assemble, too."

Timberjack,
April 14, 2008
By WoodHeat
from NW Washington State
|
"I used this tool to cut rounds from poles ranging in size from 4"-15" in diameter (about 2 cord worth) and am very satisfied with its performance. I had to hit the pick a couple of times to get it to 'grab' the outside of the log, but other than that, it performed very well. Plenty of leverage."
