"I bought this generator several years ago before a hurricane. I got a couple hours of use out of it that time before power was restored. This year not only I have used it quite a bit but have loaned it out to friends without power. Nobody had anything bad to say about it. It has powered everything needed including well pumps and a/c. It runs about 7 hrs on a tank of fuel. Easy to start, even pull start and with the Honda engine will probably last a lifetime. Get the wheel package. I didn't and need to."

"I Purchased my North Star Generator in 2002, and it has been my emergency back up electrical source for my home and business. Our small business in Miami had an electrical fire and we were able to run our operations with the Generator for two weeks during repairs including running our computers / airconditioning in the building as well as our gas pump ( Boat Rental Business) A couple of years later we had several Hurrincanes during the same season and I ran my whole house for three weeks."

"I purchased this generator several years ago as preparation for hurricaine season in South Florida. Since then there has been four storms and numerous power outs. This generator performed well each time supplying power to two refrigerators, two freezers, a well water pump and even central air conditioning. Currently a storm is heading my way but no worries since I have quality electrical back-up."

"I researched many different generators and found this one to be exactly what I was looking for. I power most of my house during power outages. Easy to start even without the electric start. It pull starts very easy. Over-all its a great product and I would recommend it for anyone. I am sure there are others that are just as good, but they cost more than this product."

"I really did considerable research for this purchase as it was important to have a product that not only could be counted on when needed, was sturdy enough to withstand hard use, but also portable enough to use at multiple sites. The Honda engine is a real plus as it is highly dependable and easily owner serviced. A great buy based on the number of kilowatts produced for the purchase price. "I purchased this unit with the optional wheel kit to power my mobile workshop. It will run lights, fans, roof air, hand tools and a 165 ton electric tire press and not even show signs of working hard. When i hit the job site it may run for 8 to 12 hours steady and no matter what i turn on you can hardly detect a change in the pitch of the engine. It is fairly loud when running but not any worse than a ridding lawn mower. I have no complaints and will purchase additional units as i expand my fleet."

"This unit has been helpfull to my family and I on many occasions from the worst stormy winter days to spring storms and even the summer windy days. We live in a rural area and are affected by power outages that range from 3 hours to 22 hours and this happens usually a few times per year. "I purchased this generator from northern tool about three years ago as a replacment for my 3500 watt hinda generator. I added the wheel kit which was very easy to install It runs almost my whole house less the electric Oven but I can use the electric cook top if i shed some of the other house loads The drawback was the auto engine speed delay which does not work well as it responce is slow . I left this feature off while running the generator and have powered my house for 22 hrs stright as I lose power very ofter being at the end of the utility line . Uses just about 1 tankful of gas every 9 hrs so you will need a couple of jerry can sof gas. I added a small battery charger to the battery so it wil always start when I need it. Once month I start it up and run it for about 15 minuites to keep the oil on the cyinder walls and load it up every other month. Switched to Mobil 1 oil and it starts better in the cold wether Very good buy for the price.."
