"Great quality hose and thick steel construction. I am a little concerned about the amount of play the reel has. Moves side to side a bit on the center axle. Other than that I am very please with this product."

"I purchased this hose reel and built a cart to hold my small (round compressor) compressor. I found this in the Handyman Magazine. I built the cart and attached this hose reel in the front of the cart at the top. I inserted a hook to hold the air pressure gauge or any other tool. The reel works great as I can go as far as the hose will allow and when I am finished I just reel the hose back to the cart. In some cases I do not have to move the cart from it's location. The cart allow me to easily roll it if I have to go to another location. The hose reel is flawless and I recommend it for any application."

"This is an excellent hose reel for a home workshop or garage. Does a great job of keeping the hose off the floor and untangled. The rewind mechanism is not as strong as some industrial hose reels, but I have never had a problem with it and it works every time."

"I looked at a lot of hose reels before I decided on this one, and I must say I am very pleased with it. Seems sturdy, and didn't have to adjust the tension right out of the box. I mounted it between two garage doors and love how it keeps the hose handy yet off the floor. It does weigh in a bit heavy, so I mounted a piece of 2x10 before bolting it up to get to two studs. Hose seems to be of heavy duty quality, but not overly stiff. However, I did have one problem after mounting it. I ran a piece of 3/8" hydraulic hose I had made with swivels, and when tightening the swivel that comes with the reel, the brass fitting split out where it goes onto the reel. Guess I was still in 1" black pipe mode. :( The best part of that is, upon calling customer support the next day, I found it was covered under warranty and received a new swivel with standard shipping for free, and no return of the 'bad' part. (I didn't refer to it as a piece of 'something', it very well could have been me, but I usually don't split out fittings) The only other 'improvement' I would make is a few extra teeth for catching and holding the reel. It only has a total of 8, (2 sets of 4) and by the time you hear it clicking, it's not clicking anymore. Not a very big deal, just takes practice. Definitely not a reason not to buy this. I read a lot of reviews on hose reels including here, and liked what I read for the mostpart. I didn't have a problem getting a hose made to reach my air supply lines, and expected it as I would with any other reel I would have purchased. I really like this reel, and plan on mounting another to the ceiling. Great tool for the money."

"I have wanted a hose reel for my compressor hose for some time but they were all so expensive and not very well built. This reel is an excellent bargain. It is inexpensive and yet built very solidly. It has good quality hose on it and quite durable. i would recommend it to anyone."
