"I use web slings all over the place. This one was purchased to lift a 20 ft sail boat out of the water and place it on the trailer. Works great, it is flexible, strong and safe to use! I also use the web straps to lift equiptment, stone blocks, moorings, wood, steel pipe, beams etc. One of the biggest keys to these slings is using it correctly, with in the rating. Always inspect before use to check for stiffness and ware. If you have any dought, throw it out and buy another. I usually order one extra just for this purpose and they are cheap, so order an extra one so you will have that back up, just in case. If your sling is getting stiff this is the first clue that its service life has past and time to put that extra one in to service."
