Good performance, short life,

"I purchased this blower to ventilate my garage. The performance is great. It's quiet, moves a lot of air and uses just over 1A on low according to my kill-a-watt meter. The only problem is with durability. I left it on low 24/7 to ventilate my garage. After about a month it started becoming slightly noisy. By 2 months it stopped and would not restart. Thankfully it's thermally protected and didn't catch fire, though it did get very hot. So it's a great unit for occasional use, but don't buy it for 24/7/365 use."

"I am very pleased to review this great little fan/blower for Northern Tool. I was originally quite familiar with a larger, industrial sized unit utilized on the job for drying floors and soaked carpets. I was shocked and amazed to find one just right for home use. The job at hand is a damp basement and this unit works like a dream. One would not expect such a quiet and thorough drying job from a blower this size, but it definitely gets the job done. Its case design is perfect for directing the air flow where needed. The unit is relatively quiet and runs cool. I had only intended on running the blower when absolutely necessary (after heavy rains or the spring thaws) but is works so well that I leave it on constantly. I also have just purchased the heating attachment which I use to heat my work area and in drying the wall work I've planned this spring. I know I'll be able to rely on this product and it will be a job well done!"
