Jam while working,

"I love the charging feature on this radio, and the fact that I accidentally dropped it off our house and it still works great! We were roofing our house and putting the new shingles on when I dropped my bag of nails which rolled down the side and hit the radio, which fell a good 20 feet before resting comfortably on our lawn, still playing "lets get this party started..." Overall, I love it, and choose it over my dads milwaukees radio anyday."

"The radio is very durable and has survived several falls from roofs. I like that I can charge a battery and listen to the radio, however, the charging creates too much static. The reception is not very good even without the charge mode.
Overall not very happy. What good is radio without good reception?"

"OK> I picked up a reconditioned one of these. Took it home and it worked like a charm. Just for fun, I opened the back and looked at the charger port. I went to the shed and got my B&D 14v battery for circular saw. Stuck it in and it fit and the DeWalt charged it in less than an hour! Might work with many of the post type batteries for other items as well!"

"The Radio itself is great, catches numerous channels very well. Just got it for Fathers Day. However I didn't received the heavy duty storage case for the cds and cd player, but I am in contact with Northern and they are taking care of that."
