Works Great!,
March 7, 2007
By GaragePotterfrom Concord, CA
"I spent a lot of time researching the perfect heater to use while throwing pottery in my garage, After returning my first choice (it set off my smoke alarm in 15 sec.) and a few others I did not like I did more research! At first I was apprehensive because I had to order The Big Buddy, No one had them in the stores. But WOW! It works great and Has a much longer propane life than the others! On low I get about 95 hours on a 20 lb tank. I run it mostly on low when by myself, med to high with others or on those really cold night! Not only do I use it in the garage, but i have taken it to pottery shows, camping (it kept the tent toasty the weekend all of california froze this year), outside concerts, and many other events. It does not smell, and not once has it set off my carbon monoxide or smoke alarm. I recommend this for anyone needing a small portable heater!"

Mr. Heater Big Buddy,
November 28, 2006
By DavidHfrom St. Paul, MN
"I purchased the Big Buddy to provide extra heat in my four season porch. I've tried various electric space heaters, but none provided the heat I was hoping for. The Big Buddy has done an excellent job! The room has never been so warm during winter. For the first time, my family enjoys the four season porch the entire year. The cost to operate the unit is very cheap when one uses an external 20 pound tank. I would not recommend using the 1 pound tanks. They are convenient, but don't last long at the high or medium settings. The unit is very easy and safe to use. All my children use the unit for occasional extra heat, and there has never been a problem."

"I use the Mr. Heater Big Buddy in my trailer to heat in the cool mornings & evenings. It worked so well in my trailer that I use it in my home to keep it cozy. It is easy to operate & saves $ by not using my home & trailer heating systems. It works very well for the needs I use it for. The price was also right."

Great Product!,
April 22, 2008
By WolfLakefrom Bemidji, MN
"I purchased the Big Buddy for use in my portable fish house. I have been extremely impressed in the amount of heat that can be put out. You can also turn the heat output down for those days on the lake when it isn't that cold. The blower is a great addition that really allows you to circulate the heat around the house. I would recommend this product to anyone."

Like a candle in the window on a cold dark winter-,
April 22, 2008
By 1Alexanderfrom Frazier Park, CA
"NIght... Actually like a really warm fireplace. I'm a Design/build contractor in the Frazier Mountain area, Kern county CA. and while working on a cabin with no heater in sometimes single digit temperatures this little heater hooked up to a 100lb. tank worked wonders. I'm also prepared for any power outage that would put my own furnace out of commission. That happens around here sometimes during heavy snowfall. Cheap insurance, portable camping heat, whatever... this could be a lifesaver. It definitely saves the freezing fingers and toes!"

Big Buddy,
April 21, 2008
By polofrom Worcester, Ma
"I have bought 3 of these in the last 2 years. I have 2 homeless friends that have made it through the last 2 winters with Big Buddy as their only heat source. Very reliable and safe. The 3rd one is mine all mine and I find many uses for it through the cold New England winter."

Mr. Heater,

By 5horsesfrom Iowa
"My husband bought this product for my Christmas. I love it. We bought it for camping, but I use it for much more than that. We lost power, so we had it in the house for heat. We use it in the garage. It is compact so it travels well."

Did not serve purpose for which it was purchased,
April 21, 2008

"I bought this header to be used at rodeos, mainly outdoors. I had trouble lighting it and keeping it lit. It did not provide enough heat for the purpose that it was intended, may serve your purpose, but was not suited for what I needed it for."

Big Buddy Heater,
April 15, 2008
By riixxiifrom Northern Minnesota
"I purchased the heater for use in my spear house this past winter and was very pleased with the performance of the unit. It works very well with the dual 1lb bottle set up. The swivel hook ups are great compared to the regular straight down version found on the smaller heater. It works good with the 20lb cylinder set up as well. The fan could blow down at a steeper angle but I don't use it so who cares. Nice heater for the money."

Beat the heat- not likely,
April 15, 2008
By Rob99from Piscataway,NJ
"Purchased this heater to heat my two car garage. I was amazed to find that at 28 degrees outside, i could maintain 68 degrees inside for 5 hours using two containers of propane. Though the two cylinders were convient, I decided to use the hook-up for a 30lb. cylinder. This lasted throughout the winter and I haven't had to refill as yet. I also loan it to a buddy whose boiler had cracked and he raved about it. No doubt you'll be receiving an order from him shortly."
