The 6190-20 utilizes dry (a.k.a. cold) cut technology which will cut on average three times faster than an abrasive machine and costs 1-1/2 times less to operate. The saw produces little to no sparks when cutting and leaves a virtually burr-free finish. Cuts angle, unistrut, steel studs, channel, conduit, tubing and pipe. The base is a heavy-duty cast aluminum reinforced with a 1/4 in. steel plate. Tool-free 3/8in. vise and back fence. The horizontal D-handle provides optimum comfort whether the tool is on the ground or sitting on a bench.

Best metal cutting idea since the hack-saw,

"We were doing some serious concrete work at my shop and had to cut hundreds of pieces of re-bar and scaffold pipe. We were limping along with a traditional chop saw and cut-off blade. Someone told us about this type of saw and we knew that we needed to try something. Let me tell you right now, WE WILL NEVER GO BACK. This is, easily, one of the best tools you will ever own if you do a lot of metal cutting. This is not for the average homeowner who may cut one or two pieces of steel a year. This saw will keep a man busy for days cutting piles of steel. Power to spare and a very secure vice to hold the pieces. The only down side is that the good quality blades are a bit pricey. But if you take care of them and resharpen them when they start to get dull, (don't wait to do this. If you do you will grind the teeth down to nothing and ruin the blade) you can get a lot of use out of each one. Great tool for any industrial maintenance shop."

"Very good saw for repititious light cutting. Cuts clean and cool. Nice and very easy to use vise. Impressive power. However, if you plan on doing much heavy cutting ie. 3/8" or 1/2" plan on buying lots of blades."
