A great welder at a great price,
April 24, 2008
By dieselguyfrom Chicago
"This welder does just about anything you could possibly need around the home and then some. I've used it on just about everything and it works great. Its smaller then the 220v units and much more portable because you can use it almost anywhere. It is also great for really thin metals, something not all the larger units can do as well. I highly recommend the unit. No disappointments here."

Handler 140,
August 18, 2008
By 3201Dfrom tampa, FL
"This welder does a good job wedling general projects. I have only used it with flux core wire. I regulary weld 1/4 " mild steel. The wire feed does get jammed regulary and the holes in the tips are not big enough for the wire. Also it did not come with the proper tip for welding with flux core. I have used other brands in the same size and price range that worked better."

good beginner welder,
August 18, 2008
By ralphiofrom belchertown, ma
"im a relative beginner and i found this welder easy to use. pretty limited range of use as it burns through sheet metal very easily unless you practice a lot and starts to have a tough time as the thickness nears 1/8th inch. however as it was intended for this range of metals it does its job very well."

versatile welder,
August 18, 2008
By mrfixitmaybefrom Lancaster, NY
"What is nice about this machine is that is usable wherever there is an 115VAC outlet. I have welded steel(up to 1/4"), stainless steel, and aluminum. It is very forgiving even for the beginner welder. Various gases are needed for MIG application and also core wire can be used with no gas."

THE HANDLER SAYS IT ALL,
August 18, 2008
By IMBJAMINfrom DECATUR, AL
"I AM A BLACKSMITH. I HAVE USED HOBART FOR 5 YEARS. THE HANDLER IS SO EASY TO HANDLE. ITS QUICK TO CHANGE OVER TO ANY STEEL. MY FIRST TIME TO WELD I ONLY HAD TO MAKE ONE ADJUSTMENT TO GET GOING. ONE THING GOOD TO KNOW ABOUT MY HOBART. MY FRIEND HAS A HOBART THAT IS 18 YEARS OLD AND RUNS AS GOOD AS MY NEW ONE. I LOOK FORWARD TO THE YEARS OF ART TO COME WITH MY NEW WELDER. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND THIS WONDERFUL PRODUCT. BR"
