Solar-Powered Trickle Charger — 5 W,
July 9, 2007
By Jram

"I was very surprised and impressed at how much voltage I was getting from this charger with little to no sun. I used a 12 volt tester on the charger and even went inside the garage so it only saw day light and still I was getting 13.2 volts on my meter. Well worth the investment especially if you have batteries that sit dormant and loose charge such as a camper. This charger will keep the batteries up for you so when you are ready to use the camper the batteries will be fully charged for you without worry. I highly recommend this solar charger."

Great product,

"Put the 5 watt charger on the fish feeder at the pond and battery stays at 90 to 95% all the time now. Put the 1.8 watt on my aluminum boat and it keeps the trolling motor and anchor battery ready to go. Also have an auto bilge set up in case it rains. Nice to have a hot battery when you get ready to fish."

No More Dead RV Batteries!,
August 18, 2008
By Shoe51

"Purchased this to charge a bank of four deep cycle batteries in my RV during those times when we are camping at sites without any hookups. It's NEVER let me down. I simply use the alligator clips to connect to the batteries, and the extra-length cables provided allow me to prop the PV panel up in against one of the RV tires and rotate it periodically to track the sun. Couldn't be happier with this item!"

Always ready,

"This product was ordered to keep 2 quads we have in our police department always ready. Often we would take the quads out of the trailer and the battery would be dead...not with this trickle charger attached!!! Since installing the solar panels on the roof of the trailer we have not had a dead battery. Let the sun solve your battery issues."

"I bought this for my Dad because he has no power where he lives. He thinks it is great, as he can charge the batteries he uses for his lights right where he is. He doesn't have to run his generator to charge them."

5-Watt Solar Charger,
August 11, 2008
By Ziggyone
from Southern California

"This is the first solar charger I have purchased. I have been doubtful if they were worth the effort. However, I now have a spare vehicle which is not used very often so the charger looked like a good idea versus replacing the battery which had already gone dead from non-use. The charger was everything as described, solid construction and easily installed. I measured the voltage output and it was perfect! The battery has been maintained since installing. I immediately purchased the smaller unit for another vehicle. These are much cheaper than replacing the batteries."

Minimized uncertainty,
August 11, 2008
By traveler2
from Atlanta, GA

"Having read of the battery draw-down effects of onboard vehicle computers and other electronics, I bought this battery trickle charger before leaving on a two-week air trip. At the airport parking lot, I plugged the charger's power cord into the 12 volt receptacle, laid the solar panel under the windshield, and headed off to catch my flight. Two weeks later, I flew back to the airport, found my van, turned the key, and voila! the engine started. Not having previously left a vehicle parked for two weeks, perhaps the engine would have started anyway. However, having the solar charger hooked up minimized the uncertainly of being stranded in the airport parking lot on a Saturday evening, looking for someone to help jump start the engine. I look forward to using the solar trickle charger to keep the RV battery recharged."
