"I ordered this compressor for a small shop with two people. It has worked flawlessly so far. Easily keeps up with our air needs and is actually fairly quiet. Startup procedures were clear and easy as well. A great value for what I paid."

"I gave this 4 stars only because realistically you don't have any choice but to use it. Use IR's oil and the warranty on your IR compressor is extended. The price is very high for a couple filters and 4 liters of oil. The T30 Select oil is unlike any other I've seen, so I suppose there's something about it that's uniquely good for their compressors. The manual for my new IR 2475N5 implied the crankcase was empty, so I poured in about 1/2 bottle of the T30 Select from the startup kit and was surprised to find the crankcase full. I then drained the crankcase, which had been shipped nearly full of some other oil, which essentially wasted the half bottle I'd poured in. Pay attention to the list of materials that are incompatible with the synthetic oil. Many products that you would normally use in an air system will not be happy with this oil, including polycarbonate filter bowls, neoprene, and natural rubber. Use at least an oil coalescing filter before you send the air out to your system."
