Excellent product and price,

"I purchased two of these solar panels along with the charge controller and 1000 watt Inverter also sold by Northern.
The panels are connected through the charge controller to one deep cycle 100AH battery in my boat house. The system was easy to wire and well made. The panels are very well packaged and of very good quality. The wattage rating appears to be actually slightly more than advertised. The system is a very good substitute to having commercial power extended to the boat house and is much cheaper to install.. I use the system to provide 120 VAC power for occasional use of power tools like drills, a blender and a radio.
Future plans include the installation of LED lighting and switches to provide low level lighting of the dock and boathouse for evening cruises or gatherings."

Back woods bonus,

"We are in the process of building a cabin on 35 acres in Northwest Colorado. Our site is and will always be "off grid". I have purchased (5 )of the 15 watt solar panels from Northern Tool to charge my deep cycle batteries. I will keep adding the panels as needed for 12 volt pumps, lighting, inverter, etc. The panels were simple to install and wire together for expansion. Northern Tool has packaged the product well as to not have any damage. I would recommend these panels to anyone who is serious about living off grid with a limited budget."

Excellent Solar Product,

"I keep two of these on my travel trailer and they keep my deep cycle batteries fresh for use. I don't have much use for a generator anymore so camping is now quiet! Mine hook up to two deep cycle batteries that power all the 12V lighting, fans, and pumps. I have a small converter that powers up a TV. Before these panels I was always worried about the power consuption at night and then having to run a generator to recharge the batteries during the day. Now this is all a silent, automatic process. You could use these to keep lights in a shed, your mower's batteries charged, etc. I use power controllers to maximize the way they charge the batteries."

"Prior to buying two15 watt solar panels I had difficulty keeping my batteries charged. Now I have two solar panels connected to my camper and now my batteries stay charged all to time. When my camper is in storage or on the go. I would suggust these solar panels to all campers who have batteries."

Great unit, right price, needs charge controller,

"Have used this panel with charge controller 336606 for two summers to charge my camper battery while dry camping. Panel produces enough voltage to charge battery even with partial clouds. MUST have charge controller with unit to avoid overcharging battery. Supposedly weatherproof, but I always put mine away when done. Would be great if they offered some type of tilting and pivoting mount; I put mine in a lawn chair and continuously reposition it to keep the sun coming straight onto it."

"It works, and is the cheapest panel per watt that I've ever found. I have three friends who use this panel for casual home and camping use and all of us are 100% satisfied."

Solar Panel,

"easy to install, connectors for any application. Seems durable, although hasn't been hit by a branch in the forest yet. as a factor for me. ability to hook up 7 in line good, as I figure if a branch hits, then probably would oly take out one or 2, lesser cost, better gamble, than one big expensive panel Better value watts per dollar."

2 panels = 30watts - not enough to sustain camper,
August 18, 2008
By ChevyCamping

"I bought 2 of these to keep my travel trailer charged. I have found that on a GOOD day, they maintain the battery, not really charge it as much as i would've expected. I still need to carry 2 batteries when camping to swap 1 out when initial goes dead. As far as wattage for price - can't complain. However they were MUCH less when i bought them on sale here... they have not come back down that far again. Overall I am satisfied. If the price comes back down to where i bought them, I will happily buy 2 more."
