Hobart Handler 125,
July 10, 2007
By UtownBillfrom Pennsylvania
"I should have bought this welder years ago. I don't know how I ever got along without it. Versatile, convenient, easy to use and affordable are just a few of the words that describe this little workhorse. Use it indoors, outdoors, at home or on the road. Plug it into any standard wall outlet. So far, this welder has easily handled every job I've required of it, from delicate sheet metal to 3/8 inch steel. I would recommend this welder to anyone, beginner or professional. No home workshop would be complete without one."

Great Home Shop Welder,
April 21, 2008
By rdp35117from Mount Olive, Alabama
"I recently purchased this welder along with the Northern welder cart and Hobart autodarkening shield. I could not be happier with the entire outfit. I have used it on several projects around the house that have been piling up over time. From welding powertool frames (rider mower and tiller) to repairing broken welds on my utility trailer, the setup has worked without a flaw. I also like the option of adding the MIG option, giving the unit even more flexibility. Due to the 20% duty rating, I would never recommend this for any kind of production work, but I would highly recommend this welder/cart/hood to anyone who loves to tinker around the house."

Great Product, Well Worth The Money!,
April 21, 2008
By BobD1001from Norristown, PA
"This Welder is all in all an excellent piece to have around the shop, and is also great for around the house repairs. Very simple to use, and easy to learn if you are new to MIG welding. I used it to weld together a few go-kart frames, and custom mini chopper frames, it did everything I could throw at it with no problem. Really a good buy; well worth every penny!"

April 14, 2008
By CHWesfrom Cedar Hill , TX
"i'm not a pro, but my hobby is working on old cars and lawn mowers. i've had my new Hobart wire welder for a couple of months now, and it's been a pleasure to work with. The quality of the welder seemed better than the others in this price range. i bought it online from Northern and they gave me a good price and delivered it sooner than i'd expected."

"I having bought a cheapo welder from a local autoparts store, I was ready to give up welding thinking it was me and not the welder. After reading all this great review posted here, I decide to go head and try again. Built soo much better and way easier to use welded then the "other". I will hight recommend this welder to a beginner."

hobart 125,
January 21, 2008
By millsfrom Vernon, AZ
"this is a very good welder can weld metal ducting on up to much heaver metal. Is Great for a shop or weekender handy man/woman. Runs on normal house current so no rewiring or new extention cords. Use flux-core wire, no gas required ( so no extra items to pack around) can weld indoors or out doors. Wind is not that much of an issue with flux core wire. Good all around welder. 10 lbs. rolls of wire feed just fine with no hassels. Make sure you have the adapter to use the 10 Lbs. rolls. Dose not come with the welder."

Hobart Handler 125,
January 16, 2008
By KENWORTHfrom Russell,KS
"I had reservations about purchasing a 120 volt welder, but this one changed my mind. For the lighter welding I usually do, this is THE welder. Some guys will tell you that it isn't big enough, but not all of us are welding frames and high carbon steel. For the home workshop welder, home fixer upper, or anything of the sort, what more do you need? Proper joint prep and technique makes all the difference. EXCELLENT WELDER FOR THE MONEY!!! Would reccommend to any home workshop welder."

Hobart Handler 125 Wire-Feed Welder,
January 15, 2008
By 356manfrom Florida
"So far have had difficulty welding 18ga sheet metal w/o the gas attachment, but don't have a lot of experience. It can probably be done with better technique, but I think I will get the Argon/CO2 attachment just to get make it easier. Also for autobody, should make the welds cleaner, I understand."
