Workhorse of reciprocating saws,
August 18, 2008
By RichKfrom Minneapolis, MN
"I've used the Milwaukee Sawzall for several years on everything from black pipe to wood decking and PVC. It's durable and flexible enough to get into tight spaces and cuts through anything. It has very low vibration provided you hold the sawzall up tight against what you're cutting. The only thing I've noticed is the black rubber boot will start to become loose but only after years of use. I haven't done a comparison with other brands in sawzalls but given my experience with other power tools, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Milwaukee brand sawzall."

Excellent saw for the price,
August 18, 2008

"I have owned and used many different brands of recip saws over the years but the Milwaukee is by far the best. It is very powerfull, well balanced, and easy to hold because of the shape and rubber material on the body. Also very easy to change the blades without tools. No need to spend 0-300 for a recip saw, just get a Milwaukee."

strong tool,
April 29, 2008
By sbtoolfrom south of St Louis, Mo
"I just used my Sawzall to cut off a 28' truck frame 11" tall & 7/8" thick. Started with a port-a-band saw, finished with Sawzall. Worked like a charm. Went thru some blades, but it was the only way to do it as the frame consisted of 2 formed channels, 1 wrapped around the other, so we couldn't cut it with a torch. Went a little better than expected."

takes a licking and keeps on cutting,
April 22, 2008
By allanmfrom Johnston RI
"This sawzall does all that you ask it to do. It has 2 speeds for wood or metal and can handle any job. It is rugged, I've dropped it from about 20 feet with no major ill effects as well as used it on some heavy materials. It was ready to go the next time I needed it. The drawbacks is that it would be easier to use if it had variable speed, particularly for starting the cut. The other drawback is that the set screw that holds the blade needs to be regularly tightened which can be a real pain in the middle of a job. I'd like to see Milwaukee improve that design. I've used this saw to do a multitude of jobs and it has always done what I asked it to do. Not only is it a must in construction but I feel every home owner would appreciate having one. It's heavy but relatively balanced so even my wife can prune a bush if she wants. I recommend it."

Best Tool in Category,
April 22, 2008
By HandymanRodfrom Cambridge, MA
"I am a professional handyman. This is the best Sawzall period. Although it does not have all the unnecessary fancy features of others, the durability, ruggedness, feel and VALUE (price /performance) more than compensate. I would buy this tool again and recommend it to anyone if they need a sawzall. This tool is used hard in a professional environment and its performance has not deteriorated over time."

Haven't found a job it won't do yet......,
April 21, 2008
By BigJohn1from Northern Colorado
"I have been using this product for 8 years now around the house. The most impressive was how fast it went through a 12" by 12" treated timber, several of them in a row. I have cut through wood with nails in it, metal pipe and lots of other things without a problem. The only recomendation I would have is don't lend it to a neighbor, you will have to chase them down to get it back when you need it. If I ever wear it out I will buy another one for sure, but there is no sign of that happening."
