Good product, fair price,

"I bought these as a replacement for a similar wheel. The new wheel from Northern seems to be much stronger than the one I replaced, in which the spokes had broken away from the outer portion of the rim. I do wish that the tires were a little wider, but other than that, I think these assemblies are a great product."

Cart Wheel,

"The 20" spoked cart wheel came just in time to replace the smaller wheels on our garden cart. We are able to move more material faster accross the yard and lawn. It is more durable that we thought it would be."

Great set of replacement wheels,

"After many years most of the wire spokes on the old wheels had pulled through the rim. We looked around local stores and online. These proved to be a great way to go. With a little help from the experienced gardener in the family we had the old wheels off - and these new wheels in place - and now the cart is better than it was when it was new."

"Have been using these wheels for over 5 years now. Lightweight, sturdy and easy to keep clean. 35psi seems to work the best. Kind of wish they came in black also"

A use not mentioned,

"I bought the poly wheels for a purpose not mentioned in your catalogue. I havea rowboat on a local reservior. Motors of any kind are not allowed. But the boats must be stored in areas that are up from the banks of the reservior - up rather steep hills. Since I am a "senior" and the boat weighs about 250 pounds, it was tough for me to drag it up hill. I saw the wheels in your catalogue and had an idea. I bought two of them and then got a threaded steel rod that I slipped through a steel pipe. I put the wheels on either end and secured them with wing nuts and washers. The device works great! I am able to slide it under the stern of the boat, secure it with two ropes and wheel the boat up to my storage spot. Having the catalogue gave me the ability to fish when I want, and alone if necessary.
Thanks,"

Indestructable wheels for carts,
May 22, 2007
By Ripley

"I have used these wheels to build 27 dog carts over the past 5 years. The carts are used for AKC carting events for Swiss breeds, Newfies, Rotties etc and need to carry 200+ lbs while twisting through sand, grass, mud etc. These wheels are very rugged and resist twisting better than a spoked wheel. Lighter as well. Easy to mount on a 1/2 inch axle with a 1/2 inch shaft coller to lock on. Put in a 20" tire liner for flat protection. I have recommended these wheels from Northern Tool in my cart building classes so no telling how many are in use for dog carts!"

A solid wheel for a fair price...,
November 17, 2006
By DeuceGooseFlyer

"Recently we were posed with the problem of finding a set of 4 sturdy, lightweight, bicycle style wheels, that were reasonably priced for an event that was occuring in just a few days. We needed to construct a cart to support several hundred pounds that had a relatively low rolling resistance. I remebered seeing these at Northern, and once ordered, they came thru with a speedy delivery. I was pleased with the quality when they arrived, but even more pleased when, due at least in some small part to these fine wheels, our cart (and the craft it carried) outperformed our expectations. For the price, these are an excellent choice, and the plastic rims lend themself well to daily abuse and exposure to the elements."
