Karcher Pressure Washer - Model # K3.48M,

"We've purchased several of these for our remote locations and they work well without the fuel necessary for larger, hot water washers. We use these on wheelchairs and have not had any complaints since we started using them six months ago. We also like Northern's air compressors and their after-the-sale service is spectacular."

"I would recomend this pressure washer for the simple home owner, its very light and stored nicely, the downside is that it takes a while for the pump to catch up on the water if your hose is not full of water, I do like the variable water jet wand for extreme washing also works good at knocking down the pesking bee hives, just dont try to catch it when it falls.."

Good Quality Washer,

"I had a Campbell Hausfeld washer for several years that broke. I bought this pressure washer and although it is rated at the same psi and gpm it is far superior to the Campbell Hausfeld unit. The Karcher is MUCH quieter and does a much faster job when power washing my bluestone patio and wood deck. I am very happy with it. On the negative side the cleaner dispensing tank is on the small side and the handle is a little flimsy. These are not big issues for me so I highly recommend this unit."

Disappointing,

"After using several washers belonging to friends, I was anxious to get my own. Chose this one because of the higher pressure and low price. Primary use is to clean my vinyl siding. The performance for doing this was so poor I thought it must be defective. I called customer service and they confirmed it was performing as designed. The built-in circuit breaker at the male plug would not reset after test. It stays closed when attached to an extension cord which the manual does not recommend but won't close when inserted in a wall socket. Plus, I noticed the piping is a soft PVC. It's probably a matter of time before the stress of a full garden hose splits it. Then there's that stupid spiral spray wand. My friends have cheap washers they ordered from TV shows which work much better at lower pressures. This thing is a waste of money and space in my shed."

So far so good,

"This is my second Karcher Pressure Washer the first (1300 PSI) lasted for more that 10years. I bought this model March 2008 for the higher PSI and the previous quality and longevity of the first one So far it works well, the Pro's are the long cord and hose the adjustable nozzle and that it doesn’t run constantly like the old (1300 PSI) model, the only complaints with this model, 1) It doesn’t have a quick disconnect like my previous model. 2) The onboard detergent tank is small and empties quickly 3) The turbo nozzle does not always work. 4) The handle is rather short for moving around."

Home owner gives thumbs down to this model,

"I used this washer about 10 times over a 14 month period. Probably had about 30 hrs on it. The wheels are plastic and turn with great difficulty. I bought new rubber tires for it so I could get it around without carrying it. The handle is too short for anyone over 6 feet tall so when you pull it you are stooped over. When it was working I was pleased with the performance. It's very noisy but works well. Last month it would no longer keep pressure. It had a leak that would not allow the pressure to stay up. Not in warranty. Customer service people very nice. When I opened it up for a diagnosis I found out I am the wrong kind of doc for this. I'm a serious handyman but this needs a service man. Not worth the money and hassel for such a marginal product. This is my second foreign built pressure washer in two years. Time to buy home grown products again."
