Solid inexpensive brad nailer.,

"The quality and performance of this tool is excellent for the money. Following the recommendations of prior reviewers I used a 12 gauge 50 ft extension cord powered from a 20 amp outlet and the tool performed perfectly. I did back up the top of the tool opposite the firing end with my hand or knee and all of the Porter Cable 1 1/4 in brads I used were set completely (pressure treated pine).
Note that just for the sport of it I tried the tool using a 100 ft 12 gauge extension with out success. The brads failed to completely seat by about 1/4 in.
Minor power inconveniences aside this is an excellent inexpensive tool."

"Excellant value and performance. Drives brads in completely and leaves minimal marring. You will need at least a clean 15 Amp power source. A 20 Amp source is recommended to insure brads are fully seated in hard woods."

"I used the nailer at my sons house to install oak chair railings and mop boards. It performed as well as my air nailer and I did not have to transport my air compressor. By following the instructions and holding my free hand tight against the head of the nailer the nails did not have to set by hand. All I had to do was fill the holes and varnish to finish the job. I would reccomend the nailer for any one who has a need for a nailer and do not have an air compressor.

Great for small and some medium jobs,

"I had just finished replacing the attic pull down steps and the nailer arrived. We framed out the opening and used the nailer to put up the molding around the opening. The nailer worked great. No more overhead hammering. Every nail went in perfectly. Do make sure that you have an outlet that can handle the 14 + amps this baby uses.
Recommended for all small jobs and some of the medium jobs that don't require any nailing bigger than 1 1/4 " nailing."
