"This drill is a workhouse . Great amount of power , works great in concrete . Battery has good recharge cycle !
A must have Cordless that will not let you down. Goes through concrete like butter , drills metal fast , even works great will hole saws. I used it with a 4 inches hole saw with no problem.

This thing is indestructable,

"I have had one of these drills for over ten years and quite honestly subjected it to unusually severe abuse. I have used it to drill 1 1/4 holes through brick walls, among other things, and it has never missed a beat."

Great portable tool,

"I like the 18 volt because it has plenty of torque to drill in hard woods ,steel , andturn screws in dried oak lumber. The batterys last longer than any other drills I have had. Great all around tool"

Tough product,

"Dewalt always makes a tough, high quality product. This drill is no different. I work construction for a living and my drill has been dropped, thrown, buried, and all around beaten up for 2 years and it still runs strong!"

Good Drill,
November 2, 2009
By Handyman32
from Denver, CO
"I have had a Dewalt drill for 8 years before it died on me, and I loved it. This new one is even better. The chuck is quicker and it has an led light to help out a bit during hard to see places. It is a bit shorter than the older XRP models, which is good as well. The only downfall is that it is a bit heavy compared to competitors. Also it still came with the NiCad batteries and not the new lithium ion ones, and still manages to be higher priced than most other competitors that are selling same 18V with lithium ion."

Best cordless Hammer drill,
November 2, 2009
By mech2
from Lenhartsville, PA
"I do machine installations and have used many different brands of drill hammers. The Dewalt Cordless Hammer Drill is the best. It is better than the rest. Batteries last forever. When drilling holes in concrete to install lag shields the drill takes alot of abuse but this drill keeps on going and going and going. When doing and installation job the last thing you want is to have to keep charging batteries. We can do a complete job on two batteries a day with out recharging. I would not give it up for any other brand."

Dewalt cordless hammer drill,
November 2, 2009
By Markthetoolman
from NE Indiana
"This is one tough, powerful piece of hardware. Very impressed with the hammer-drill function - don't use that function very often but it is nice to have it available. Plenty of power and a well-balanced machine. Purchsed as part of a 5-piece set, I use the drill / driver most often. Good speed control - smooth and precise."

Dewalt Cordless Hammer Drill - 18 Volt, XRP,
August 23, 2009
By gerber
from Orlando, FL
"Fantastic! Had a Dewalt drill and didn't know how badly I needed a Hammer Drill! If your tasks include drilling in concrete - this tool is a must. Balance and handling is same a normal drill/driver. Doing it again, I'd put this cordless drill in my tool bag first."

Dano4011,

By Dano4011
from New Auburn, Wisconsin
"I have long been an avaid user and supporter of numerous Dewalt tools. My last Dewalt purchase was an 18 volt Hammer drill/driver. This tool is second to none when it comes to power. With its 3 speed transmission and adjustable torque settings it has the ability to complete the job. Being a teacher and a small scale construction company owner, I need tools that endure many weather conditions and physical enviroments. Dewalt always measures up for me."

Hammerdrill,
July 22, 2009
By allensfence
from Fort Walton Beach, Fla
"The DEWALT cordless hammerdrill is in its self a great drill for drilling into concrete except for the battery life that could be made to last longer. It is frustrating to have to change batteries after only drilling a couple of holes into concrete to insert mounting studs for a fence post mount. Other than the battery the drill works great and it will drill though 4 inches of concrete in a very short time, try doing that with a regular drill and see how long it takes."
