"For many years I have used the Milwaukee 4 1/2 in. grinder in industrial repair. The grinder is convenient, offers secure grip, and more than enough power to handle most cutting and grinding. The life and reliability is ecellent. With all hand grinders, proper safety and eye protection is a must."

Best brand on the market,
November 18, 2008
By mrh0075from Texas
"I have several Milwaukee drills that date back into the 1960's and they still work today, 40+ years later. They have not been pampered. They are used heavily. I recently ( 2 years ago ) bought my son this grinder and 2 other Milwaukee tools. They are POWERFUL POWER tools. The grinders can not be bogged down like many of the so called good grinders. Look at the amp load this tells you it has a strong motor to pull such a large load. I will continue to buy Milwaukee tools. They are still as good today as they were 40 years ago."

Another superior Milwaukee tool!,
August 21, 2008
By oldguyjimfrom Bainbridge Island WA
"This is one of those tools that finds more and bigger jobs than I imagined. It grinds rust, paint and buffs concrete. I no longer need a hacksaw or pipe cutter as it butters through metal pipe, rebar and solid bar with no lugging. I have to back off to keep the grinding disk from overheating. Moral: Never buy a cheap or underpowered tool."

Milwaukee hand grinder,
January 24, 2008
By OneManGaragefrom Indiana
"Very powerful grinder that holds up to quite a bit of abuse. Every Milwaukee too I've ever owned has held up very well. The grinding wheel guard is easy to adjust positions without tools, but the down side to it, the guard rattles and comes loose occaisionally."

"I have over 40 years of experience in metal work and have used many brands and types of grinders. The Milwaukee 4 1/2" grinder is convenient to use with a bottom trigger and a positive arbor lock for changing discs. I recommend this tool for both the professional and amateur worker. The powerful motor and adjustable guard on the disc make this the safest grinder I have ever used."

Awesome 4.5" Grinder,
October 29, 2007
By stainlessmanfrom Bradford, PA
"I have a stainless steel polishing shop and we have been using a variety of 4.5" grinders to rough out cast stainless steel drain covers. The lone Milwaukee 4.5" has been on the job since day one and will be there doing a fine job tomorrow. The other brands work for a week or two then take a permanent 'Smoke Break'. You will not find a 12 amp 11,000 RPM workhorse in any other machine. Thanks Ed"
