A bench grinder?,

"As an "old school" craftsman who grew up using grinding and sharpening methods that were invented by the ancient Greeks, I never thought I would use a bench grinder often enough justify the space it would take up in my shop. Now, after having enjoyed the use of Northern Tool's high quality grinder during the past year, let me sum it up by saying "abradum ergo sum", loosely translated as "I grind, therefore I am.""

"This grinder is as good as ones I have used that were three times the price. Reliable, efficient and , strangely enough, quieter than any other I have used. A bargain."

"It's just not possible that they test these before they get boxed up. One of my wheels was so out of balance that it bumped up against the side guard keeping it from spinning at all. Customer service was good as they shipped another right away but same story, just not as out of balance as the last grinder. At this point I will see what is available at the local hardware store and see what I can find for new wheels. I will probably not buy house brand from northern again... as would rather spend the extra money on a name brand product that's tried and trued."
