"I had a demolition project that was a "one of" type for me that required an angle grinder to cut off framing nail and some 1/4 inch bolt ends.. It was about 25 hours worth of work and I used up several 1/8 thick cut off wheels. I did not want or need to spend big bucks to rent or purchase a tool. I found the CT-3049 priced at the level which matched a daily rental cost. I was able to work at my pace not concerned about rental returns and add the tool to my collection which I know will come in handy later on. As for performance the CT-3049 did all I asked of it. My operation required cycling the grinder on and off in short cycles, the control switch did seem to stick a few times in the off position after a couple of hours of use toward the end, but never became a big problem. Over all the grinder did what I required and saved me time and some labor."

"I have used this grinder for several years. I bought it to sharpen lawn mower blades and other light duty work. I did use it to remove a diving board stand at our community pool, which was a bit above its intended duty. I had to stop and let it cool a couple of times, but it still works fine. I have also used it to cut tile. Professionals and frequent welders should spend the extra money for a name brand."
