DeWalt 18 volt cordless drill,
January 21, 2008
By Brainsfrom Knoxville, Tennessee
"I have been using this product for over a year now and cannot express the magnitude of my satisfaction. I have tried many brands of cordless drills in the past and none have even compared to the quality and craftmenship of this DeWalt. The battery packs last longer than any other I have experienced; the rugged construction of the drill and it's case can be compared to steel - I have had it fall off the back of the truck and been run over by a tire and still continue to work excellent with no damage. All I can say is unbeliveable and I am truly a loyal DeWalt client! I would recommend this product to anyone."

Unrestricted Recommendation,
August 29, 2008
By Anonymous Reviewerfrom North Little Rock, AR
"To put it simply, this is an excellent tool, and a good example of getting what you pay for. I expect this drill to last for the rest of my life, and there would have to be an extraordinary, revolutionary and mind-boggling development in cordless drills to convince me to replace this drill. (Automatic hands-free? GPS? Battery-free? Strip-proof fastener driving?) The only change I would make would be to make the chuck a little more comfortable. Your hand may start to get a little sore if you use the drill all day and must change bits and drivers often. (I replaced it with an upgrade- one of the soft-grip Jacobs chuck. Nice.) The only other thing (and not a negative) is that the three-speed gearing may be overkill for some people. The low gear is high torque, while the high gear makes drilling quick. The only time I ever use the middle gear is when I use it to stir paint or similar applications."

dewalt 18 volt cordless drill/driver,
August 20, 2008
By fitshenlyfrom ny
"This is an excellent tool. I bought the 4- piece kit eight years ago and I only had to replace the drill and sawzall this year. I have gotten excellent service from my dewalt tools. I am an electrician so I use my tools every day. there was no job too big or too small for my drill. once full charged you can go several days before it need recharging. I have used other drill in the past and present and none can compare to my dewalt drill. It is the best."

Indestructable,

"I have owned this drill for about 5 years now. I have dropped it off ladders and house roofs. And it has been left in the rain. The drill, although quite marred still works perfect. One of the batteries is just now starting to not hold a charge, but the other is still perfect. I also left the charger sit on top of a water heater and it is half melted but still works years later. I would have to say this is the best investment I have ever made. It has paid for itself over and over."
