Disappointing Performance,

"This saw can be an excellent tool for metal cutting but only if you have multiple charged batteries at the ready. With a new blade and battery this little saw will easily cut 1/4 inch thick steel plate and tubing. The number of cuts you get from a fully charged battery will disappoint you however. If you need more than 6-7 cuts in heavier material the saw will quickly run out of steam and beg for the next fresh battery. I still would recommend it but with the caveat of don't expect to use the saw for more than jsut light-duty cycle work."

"This little saw has the great, rugged Dewalt design exterior, but also show some serious staying power. With the 18v battery and a sharp blade, this saw keeps up with me whether I'm cutting framing for a deck, stair stringers or siding. This is far and away the best battery-powered saw I've owned."

"We use this handy tool for small projects, fence rail repair, and more. It's fantastic in that you don't have to have an electrical outlet nearby nor have to drag a generator to the site... just pop the battery in and you are good to go. The battery doesn't last a "long" time - but long enough to do small jobs."

"I use my saw on my farm quite often. It is really handy to have if you raise horses and have to work on your barn as much as I do. It is so handy to be able to cut broken boards out of fences and barn stalls for easy replacement without having to drag an extension cord around. I would recommend this tool to anyone."
