"We have had many pet bowls for outdoor use. With a dog who loves to be out in the snow (Alaskan Malamute), it is essential to have a bowl that works. This bowl far surpasses any bowl we have used the past, and we liked it so much we ordered an extra one. The bowl automatically shuts off if the temperature is above freezing, so the coil doesn't burn up - a common problem with these bowls. It's a great deal for the price, and I would absolutely recommend this bowl to anyone with an outside dog!"

"This heated water bowl was great this past winter. It's large capicity provided plenty of water for extended time away, and I found that even the thermostat worked to save electricity on warmer days. It is well made with almost a polished finish on the stainless."

"I purchased 2 of these bowls 4 - 5 years ago to replace plastic heated bowls that DID NOT WORK. The water in this product have NEVER fozen even at sub-zero temperatures. I am caring for 35 - 40 "barn yard" cats and they NEED a dependable supply of fresh water (this prompted my purchase of a third bowl). They wait for me to fill these bowls up and seem to REALLY appreciate a drink that is cool in the summer and warm in the winter (mean temperature is 40 - 50 degrees year round). I HIGHLY recommend this product for anyone with outside animals."

"Today is the first day of use; last night was below 32 and my birds (that is why I got it) love it this morning. The thermo- function seems to work good, the others bird baths were frozen, not this one.
