"Deer Repellers worked until deer learned acorn lure would shock them. When we rotated acorn, corn and apple lure on the repellers they were more consistent at repelling deer. Deer are creatures of habit and remember that the repellers shocked them when they touched them. Effectiveness is probably medium overall. Combined with other methods of repelling deer they work reasonabily well."

deer repellent stakes, July 9, 2007

"I have a deer problem as well as a raccoon problem. Trouble is, I love both of them but they wreck havoc on my deck, where I have an extensive container garden and on my garden and landscaping. I have used the stakes to keep the deer from eating and the raccoons from playing with all forms of vegetation on my property. I have also used the stakes very successfully to keep the raccoons from climbing a tree and getting on my roof where they frolic all night. I have simply placed on e on my stairs going up to an upper deck to prevent the critters from leaving droppings there when nothing else would work.
I now have about five sets of three stakes (we live in the woods and have about an acre that needs protecting). It is a humane way to keep the animals at bay without really hurting them. I will buy more and have recommended them to all of my friends and you should have had several orders lately from the Barrington , Illinois area for the stakes."
