"I work at car dealership parts department and I use it to load & unload transmissions and small engines and other heavy shipments from trucks. It does make the job easier when there's no loading dock or liftgate on the delivery truck. It's easy for one person to use. It's also faster than some of the hydraulic jack type. Some of the truck drivers commented that it works better than some of the hydraulic models that are built similarly. I have just a couple of things that are kind of annoying though. The wheels don't swivel or turn so when you have something heavy that you can't tilt it back, you have to scoot it instead. The other thing is the crank handle spot welds broke after continuous use. Now we were able to repair it but it could be reinforced a little better. The last thing is that it needs brakes so it doesn't roll so easily if you need to adjust the load. If your looking for a good economic tool to lift and move material this is it. It's about the best you'll get without the frills. It works good and is solid."

"i purchased this item for use around my home. it is excellent for loading heavy cargo onto my pickup truck, and also for accessing a 50'' high storage loft that runs the length of my garage. i can now store heavier items on it. a great helper to have around. the only change that i would recommend for this product would be to put steerable casters on the front, but it can not be beat in its price range."

Vestil lite Load Lift,January 18, 2008

"I have a small woodworking/metalworking shop behind my house. I have injured my back on serveral occassions from trying to lift heavy items. I have used the lift serveral times already and found it to work quite well. The real test was when I had my 300+ lbs friend sit on the lift and I cranked him up in the air. The lift has a small footprint and is easy to move around. I have fashioned a table top that I mount on it and use it as a desk when it is not in use. I give it four stars because I think its weight lifting capacity is a little liberal. If you use it consistently to lift 500 lbs I doubt it would last very long. Overall, I think it is a good deal for the money and Northern shipped it much faster than expected. I highly recommend the unit for anyone that wants to save his/her back."

"This is a very inexpensive but useful tool for warehouses without loadingdocks. We have been able to load and offload to a variety of vehicles, items weghing as much as 400 pounds with no problem at all. Great buy also, nothing this price with same specs anywhere."
