"I have used and owned both this one and the "other" brand name extensively. This one is by far superior, mainly due to the locking/unlocking ring pull mechanism, which makes a much quicker, easier operation of picking up plate and releasing it when through. I only own and use this Vestil clamp now. I have used it on plate as well as wide flange beam in building oilfield components for drilling rigs. I just wish I'd known of this one before buying one of the other brands."
