"Any new-to-splitting-logs-cut-to-length-for-stove/place-burning lumberjacks should invest in this tool. I found my first weeks for this chore to be tiresome and the particular maul purchase alleviated this with victory capable in the diameter of wood split versus the ax I borrowed. I think the best part of it for me was the lack of confidence in my swing wore out as I determined distances and aim with a unrelentlessly painstaking item. Additional woodstacking pushed me to move faster, when safe to, and I have moved up to a "supersplitter" and am able to handle volume without as much of a workout as the Truper . The wood handle broke at one point due to the steel head and the handle striking the wood of the irregular log at the same time, it appeared to me, and I did weigh in on the replacement. I'll save it for next wood-chopping season and not just me, a homemaker, but someone else not in tip-top-shape to begin with could benefit from the agility skills obtained with this tool."
