"This tool is great for moving logs around in the yard. I use it to move logs up to 36" diameter by myself with ease. It's great for positioning logs for sawmilling, or rolling them onto a trailer."

Columbus McKinnon Cant Hook,

By akchinook

"Very good product. The handle is extremely strong, and quite durable. The hook seems very durable too, taken as a whole I think this will provide years of service. The only drawback I can see, the hook is kind of dull, so it can be hard to set into logs with a tough bark."

Cant hook the big ones,
July 21, 2009
By Notalogger
from Illinois
|
"We bought this tool to clear our property of fallen trees after a big wind storm hit the midwest in May. The handle was sturdy and the tool is well made, but the hook wasn't big enough to go around the bigger logs, which was disappointing."

"Picks up logs as to not hit dirt or stones with saw. Only problem is that the wood handle got weak after a couple years and snapped"

Columbus McKinnon Cant Hook,

"After our property had been cleared for our new home the contractor saved me a pile of the best trees for firewood.I didn't have a Cant Hook and the neighbor volunteered his Columbus McKinnon. After using it I hated to give it back, but felt I might need it again. Now I have my own and would only borrow if I need the second one.Having 10.5 wooded acres I'm positive this one will get a work out.Another great reason for picking CM over all the others is its Lifetime warranty. The hickory is strong, but then you never know."

"Searched for quite some time for a used model to save money. I wasted a ton of time doing so. Should've purchased this a long time ago. The Columbus McKinnon is as good as or maybe even better than others at a much lower price. If you need to move wood, this is for you!"
