"Great saw! Got it from Northern Tools a couple of years ago after my wife and I purchased a home with ten acers of timber in northern Wisconsin. Have been using it to clear trees etc. from the property. Very easy to start and use. It is a safe saw that is easy to handle for both me and my wife."

"This was my starter chainsaw-- still use it but now mostly for bucking and clearing. If you have to cut a lot of wood or anything on acreage, you'll find you need bigger. It's tough and reliable though, and does the job."

powerful little saw,

"Well it says for homeowner use in the brochure,but I have used this saw daily for two months straight cutting through some serious firewood rounds and it has more than adequately done the job.It kicks out about 2 HP of power and the chain cuts through some heavy oak and white ash like butter.I also commend the quality of the 18" bar and chain,i have only had to sharpen once and that was because of accidentily hitting some dirt.tough little saw,great anti vibration features,and very light.you can use this saw all day,and if you take decent care of it,you will easily get your moneys worth.its also pretty light,and if you happen not to be paying attention and it kicks back on you the kick is manageable.the brake feature works great,and it has always started on just a couple pulls.they really made starting this saw idiot proof,so it gets my vote.To summarize if you are looking for a powerful saw for some log bucking,or tree pruning,i highly resommend.Not the best saw for felling larger trees( a little underpowered in my humble opinion,but great for downed limbs.)Good blade,great oiler system,smooth chain sprocket and easy adjust for the bar.you can't go wrong for the money.my saw came with a nice orange plastic chain sheath/cover for when storing so you don't bugger up the blade or your fingers! chain is sharp,buy Husqvarna 240"
