"I was a little amazed at the size and power of this light tower when it came in. This thing is bigger than I realized - and you need welding goggles when all 1500W are turned on in the garage. Usually overkill, but really awesome when that "20-minute" project outside goes until midnight.
I also like the removable head. You can quickly pull off the top crossbar w/ lights and carry it around, set it on top of the truck, in the crawlspace, etc.
The telescoping tower helps position the lights where needed, but it also means that the tower collapses into a small enough space to store this on the shelf.
The lights don't swivel up and down as much as I thought they might - but that might be to protect the lights. (Seems like I heard that a halogen better not be pointed down or it would get too hot.) But just a minor "adjustment" with a file would allow them to swivel as much as desired."
