Better Than Expected,

"This rechargeable LED light has held up much better than I thought it would and lasted much longer than I thought it would. Having both a 120v and 12v recharger makes this one of the most versatile lights I own. I carry it in my truck or Jeep all the time. It has even become my tent light!"

Best worklight ever...!,
November 18, 2008

"This is by far the best worklight I've ever owned and I've owned and broken many! Charge lasts a long time and unit gives out plenty of light. I have collector cars and a 4-post lift and use this worklight all the time. Only have to charge it periodically as it seems to last forever..."

Fantastic for Interior/Underbody Work!,
August 29, 2008

"Bought this for use mainly under the dash, running wiring, and getting mechanical auto work done. The plus part, there is no heat give-off; you can plop it right next to your head with no worries about scorching yourself on accident. Great beam of light on it.. it is more of a notable 'spotlight' more then a flood light, and that is the one minor part to it as well; You have to wrestle it into a place to get the light exactly where you need it.. instead of the standard fluorescent style work lights that you just hang up and it shines where you need it right away. I would recommend this unit to others looking for the benefits of having a wireless work light, but might caution against hard use.. as it does feel rather brittle, and would not match up to much rough bumps."

Great Idea Poor Execution,
July 25, 2008

"Well it was bound to happen, after buying 50 to 60 items from Northern over 10 years I found a poor one. And this light is it. I purchased 2 of these lights with the idea they would be an excelent light for power outages ( I live in rural Wisconsin and I am sure you have heard about the squirls and electric transformers) during storms. No delay in receiving them from Northern,as usual they arrived early. They got here in great condition,no visable damage. The Lights are a great concept and of fairly good design, are light weight, run cool and are not tethered with a cord, the swivel hook at the top is not too big and not too small to be usefull in many applications. The flats on the lower housing (hex head like a nut or bolt) are large enough to prevent the light from rolling when on a flat surface, even when tilted ,to be able to position the light as needed. Some other reviews state the light is not very bright, the lights I received were plenty bright when in a dark environment but were lacking when being used in a well lit area,as in a shop situation, to illuminate under a dash.I also felt the pattern was too concentrated, more of a spot light rather than a flood light. The charger and the lighter adapter are great for portability and "Having a light when and where you need it" Now for the bad. Very short lifespan. I used the lights 4 or 5 times before they would no longer illuminate. This was a gradual decline in that the number of LCDs lighting dwindled with each use and in short order would not illuminate at all. The lights were not subjectef to rough handling nor were they even dropped, they just died I have to contact Northern and see about replacement / exchange of the lights,I would prefer an exchange over replacement."

bad light,

"I ordered this light despite some of the negative comments. Please believe the negative comments. It does (did) provide a lot of light, but it quit at after one use. While Northern does have a very efficient complaint/return policy, why put yourself in the almost certain position of having to take advantage of it."

Rechargeable work light,

"Two out of the three purchased where dead just after the first use. They do not hold a charge if not in use. They need to be plugged in at all times when not in use. The one unit will not accept a charge after the first use. Whould not recommend to others and would not use myself."

LED Means light whight Everyday but disposable,
April 16, 2008

"I baught the worklight and used it for about 3 hours under a house working on a drain line, was verry impresed with how bright it was. Than it fell in the dirt and went out . Their I was trying to find my way out of the dark! When I was topside I found that if I tap the light on the ground it would come on. So the Next time I had a Chance to call Northern and told them my problem they sent me another one at no charge. The new one works a lot better but the hook on top on both broke right away."

"Bright light is small enough to fit in tight spots. Stays charged a long time. Keep it where you can grab it when you need it, it's very handy."
