Nicely Made and easy to install, March 16, 2009

"I added this to my 30 ton splitter as a preventative measure since they do not come with a filter. It was easy to install once I tracked down the screw in fittings I needed. It would have been nice if they were offered with the kit or as an option so I wouldn't have to make the trek to a hydraulic supplier to find them. Worked well once installed. I really think they should add these to their splitters as a feature as everyone knows it greatly extends the life of any hydraulic system."

"I built my log splitter and used this item as the filter for the project. After breaking in the hydraulic system, I went to my local supply company and bought a replacement filter. After running my splitter for about a half hour, the filter came apart. I then spent more money on another filter at the same store and had the same problem. After the second filter came apart, I ordered this filter. That was two years ago and it is still running perfect. Don't waste your money on cheap filter elements. Buy this product and you will get a top quality filter that WILL LAST."
