Good Heater, November 3, 2009
By TimmyG from Lexington, MN

"I have used this off and on for the past couple of winters, here in Minnesota. I have an attached uninsulated two car garage. I use the heater to warm the garage when working on cars (shade tree mehcanic). The heater works well, is small enough to put it where you need it. My only regret is that I wish I would have went to the 75,000 Btu unit. There are times when it is just too cold for this heater to keep up - but overall I am happy with it - for the price I paid!"

mr. heater portable propane shop heater, November 2, 2009
By reelminn from portland, oregon

"i purchased this heater for my shop. it heats my space of around 400 sq. feet very well. my only reason for not giving it a 5 out of 5 is it's a little on the loud side. other than that it's great. i would recomend it to any one with small space heating needs."

Awesome heater, November 2, 2009
By N2htwlz from Gooding, Id

"I bought this heater last winter for my garage shop. The temps were in the 20's and this heater would warm up the garage within an hour to comfortable working temps. In some cases I did get the gargae up to almost 70 deg before I shut it down so I could paint some parts. Iwould recomend this heater to anyone with a garage, the heater will emty a 5lb propane tank in approx 16hrs on high, so a 10lb tank is would be optimal.
I cant wait to fire it up this year but it hasnt been cold enough yet."

Mr Heater for shop, July 13, 2009
By johndeere from Glen Rose TX

"I have a metal shop and its not sealed very good , but the MR. Heater keeps the 800 sq ft warm when the outside temp is 30 to 40F....The LP does not give off noxious fumes like kerosene heaters"

Great workshop heater!, March 24, 2009
By mrsheats from Excelsior, Minnesota

"I had originally purchased the next step down model, the 35k BTU, this smaller model was a good heater, I never had a problem with it, but it didn't quite heat up my work space as much as I would have liked. I replaced it with this 30k - 55k BTU model and I must say for the small difference in price it was most definitely worth it, this model was built more sturdily, its adjustable front foot is very handy for directing the heat to were you need it most, I point it up when working on the engine of my car and tilt it down when working underneath the car. However the best feature is the adjustable BTU output, very handy!!

I have used this heater the last two winters, which here in Minnesota have been colder than average, with temps below zero more often than not. The work space I use this heater in is a hundred year old large two car garage, it is unattached has absolutely no insulation and is quite drafty. After running the heater on 50 - 55k BTU for about a half hour to 45 minutes my garage is comfortably warm and can be turned down to like 40k BTU or so to maintain a good temp. It could be -10 outside and with this heater I can be very comfortably working on my car in a t-shirt! I have recommended these forced air propane heaters to all my friends that have an unheated workshop, they are a great investment, far better than there kerosene counterpart!"

Great Heater, March 23, 2009
By swm2009 from Newton, New Jersey

"A friend at work accidently ordered 2 of these from Northern, so to eliminate the need to send it back I purchased it from him. I tested it out and I thought it was nice, but then came the real test. On an Icy snowy night, (about 20 degrees) my daughter slid off the road a put the side of her jeep into a pole. It was barely drivable, luckily we were only a few miles from home, when we got it there we saw the immediate need to change wheels and pull back some of the damaged area. Our garage is a 2 car high ceiling newer home type, which means it is extremely well insulated from the house and gets very cold in winter (and very hot in summer) . We put the car in the garage and I turned on Mr. Heater and directed it at the side of the car we were going to work on. (Please notice we purchased the 30,000 -55,000 model not the larger one.) In just a couple of minutes the snow and Ice were dripping off the vehicle in this 30 degree garage. In less than ten minutes, we had our coats off and I turned the adjuster on the heater as low as it could go. It was perfect, the thermostat, the ability to adjust the angle that the heat comes out, all great features. I recommend this product to others all the time, and they ask about it especially when they see it in action. Now I'm a Northern Customer too."

Mr Heater is Outstanding, March 23, 2009
By pbxtech from Pittston Pennsylvania

"This is the best portable heater I have ever owned. It heated a 400 square foot garage to 65 degrees in about 30 minutes with a outside temp of 40 .Its a very solid and portable lightweight unit that makes it convenient to use anywhere you choose.Much better choose than kerosene due to no soot and smell."

This heater is outstanding!!!, March 16, 2009
By MikeyGMN from Mpls, MN

"I've been able to increase the temperature in my uninsulated (approx 650 sq ft) garage to 50 deg plus from 10 degrees in 45 min with the heater set at 50,000 then turn it down and maintain that temp. It burns much cleaner than my 55,000 BTU kerosine Reddy Heater (no start-uo or shut-down odor) and not only heats just as well but the variable temp adjustment allows me to maintain a comfortable temp while using less fuel. I highly reccomend this heater!!"
