Awesome for the money,

"First off, I need you to know I am a trained technician in the rv service field. I have over 30 years experience in service & repair of propane appliances for rv's (recreational vehicles).
I found this heater by doing a Google search. I was familiar with Northern Tool and their great reputation so I decided to purchase here.
My order process was easy, the shipping was exactly as promised, so NT's part of the deal was 100%.
Now, for the heater.....AWESOME! A simple, well made, heater that is doing exactly what I wanted it for. It's primary purpose is for back-up in case of a power outage. It uses no external power source so you get heat even if the power is down! Installation was as easy as it gets....mount the bracket to the wall, run the gas line, connect the two, and you're done!
Curently the heater is warming us during 40 degree nights without any help from the main furnace. It would be nice if it had a thermostat instead of just a low/high setting but, a small sacrifice considering the price.
If you're considering a vent-free heater, for the small price...this one's a winner!

"It was quick and appropriate timing that the heater got here in the midst of a winter downturn. Within an hour, not counting the time to get the propane and necessary hose and connector, it was up and providing heat for my living space and hallway. I do make a positive recommendation."

ProCom Heaters,
January 16, 2008
By Poconorich

"This is the 3rd ProCom gas Heater I have purchased from Northern Tool within a year. It has not disappointed me or the Tenant, in whose shop I had it installed. This smaller heater is mounted in her smaller side of the shop and is combined with a larger ProCom unit where she does her Dog Grooming. Even in spite of all the dog hairs flying around on a busy day she grooms her dogs, the ProCom has not failed to perform in peak performance.
I plan on purchasing @ least (2) more ProCom heaters from Northern within the next couple Months. I can buy other units locally, but I don't believe anybody backs their units with the 3-Year Warranty like Northern Tool does... +++ I have purchased the additional 2-Year Extended Warranty on each unit. Man, that's a lot of peace-of-mind!!! I was convinced to join Northern's "Buyers Club" with this purchase... I am not keen on such things normally; BUT, with Northern, I have a Company I can trust, and with FREE SHIPPING, I am now enjoying my purchases from Northern even more!!! Your Staff has ALWAYS been knowledgable, courteous, helpful in looking up Specs, etc, and I have called @ very odd hours and they are always there and 'on the ball'. Keep up the good work, as you continue gaining loyal customers like me.

Full Time RVer,
January 14, 2008
By GaryK

"I had reviewed many vent free propane space heater for a year or better. I live full time in my RV which is a 40 foot 2 bedroom with 2 slide outs. Anyone who has live in an RV with slide outs will attest to the leakage along these slide outs. They will also attest to how well you can count your amps for electrical use. That being said, last year we got down to -9 degrees a couple of times. I found it hard to maintain heat in my back bedroom. With that in mind, that is the reason I was looking for a propane vent free heater. My furnace burns at 45,000 btu and still does not heat the back bedroom. I purchased this heater because of a past review that said he used it 12 hours per day and was close to 30 days on a 5 gallon propane tank. I can tell you, this heater on low burns at 6000 btu and provides ample heat for most of my RV which allows me to shift some electrical amps to the back bedrom which now allows me to keep it warm. This heater, although is efficient and conservative on propane use, will not last 30 days burning at 12 hours per day. It will last about a week and a half though. All in all, this was a very good investment and if you need supplimental heat, using no electricity, this is the unit for you. As an RVer, the only issue I have with it is its size. I feel it could be a little smaller in size since in an RV, space is a premium."

great heater,

"I never installed anything like this before...
I had hoped to replace my woodstove in my garage with two of these units. I bought them and installed them myself. They came with everything I needed to hang them and fit them to copper tubing that I supplied including shut off valves and flextube for final installation.
The local propane distributor did the piping from outside twin 100# tanks and checked my fitting work and his... no problems. We turned on the gas and hit the ingnitor button. In ten seconds we were getting heat. The heat that comes off this unit is great. No more wood stove now.
Thanks Northern for such a great product at an affordable price.

ProCom Radiant Propane Heater,
January 14, 2008
By sptanz
from Pueblo, Colorado
"This is the second one I purchased and couldn't be happier with the quality and performance of both. No fumes or odors and no venting! These little heaters are great. They heat the objects instead of the air and are easy to operate. No electricity and no batteries needed. With an efficiency of 99.9% you are insured of an efficient heat source. I use both mine with the stands and just use small 20lb. propane (BBQ) tanks. Provides heat in the rooms where I need it most. Portable heat where I need it.
We used electric space heaters but with the soaring electric costs this was a no brainer decision. Great product and price. You won't be disappointed.
