Ecofan Airplus Heat-Powered Fan for Wood Stoves, Model# 802CA-KBX

Order Today and Save $20

Heat-powered fan generates its own electricity from your wood stove's heat, improving the efficiency of the stove by circulating the warm air it produces. Sends the air directly into the living area rather than having most of the heat rise immediately to the ceiling. Sits on top of stove; starts automatically when stove surface temperature reaches 150°F. Speed increases as the stove heats up and decreases as it cools down. Turns off automatically. Aluminum fan will never rust.

Ecofan worth the money,
November 3, 2009
By suznewc

"I was using a small plug in fan to circulate air around my wood stove. It was noisy and used electricity. I bought this last year and it works great! No more noise and electric cost. It also works as an indicator for when the stove is burning down, because you can tell by the speed of the fan. It takes a little bit longer to get the air moving because it's small, but overall once it gets going it works. I will buy another one for my house in NH."

Why bother?,

"Got one of these last Christmas as a present. It turns fine, but does not move any air at all. I've hung tinsel near it to see if I was missing something-- didn't budge. Either the blades were installed wrong, damaged in shipping, or it just doesn't help. The house heats up exactly the same with or without the fan."

Ecofan,
March 16, 2009
By Tiny1
from CT.
"Super quiet. My stove is a top loader so I always have to move it. So a guard might be a good idea. If you are careful it isn't dangerous I just worry about eventually hitting the blades and bending them like one of the other commentors mentioned. I did buy other ones for friends with stoves."

"My wife and I bought this fan for our boat. It works great on top of our diesel stove. It has eliminated the condensation build up in the V-berth. Certainly worth the money."

Ecofan,

By Jon95

"My wife and I thought this fan to be a bit pricey, but bought it anyway. It more than met our expectations, and we now believe it to be more than worth the price. I do believe it needs a blade guard. Great product, and would buy it again."

Definetly not worth the money,
January 21, 2008
By barbwire
from western Montana
"I purchased this item and set it on the wood stove, it started to turn in just a short time, the problem with it was you could put your hand in front of it and could not feel any breeze, I aimed it toward an area that had a thermometer and the thermometer never changed. It did no good, so I thought maybe they accidentally put the blades on backwards, but there was no breeze from behind either, a complete waste of money for me."

Ecofan Airplus Heat-Powered Fan for Wood Stoves, M,
January 15, 2008
By CJM99
from Shipman, IL
"When we first looked at it we were thinking that we might have wasted our money. After using it for quite sometime we were happy to see that we were wrong. We are very please with the Ecofan Airplus Heat-Powered Fan. We liked that it runs off of the heat that is generated by the wood stove, instead of electric. The style has been a topic when we have guest, because it's design is unique, as well as the size of this little jewel. I would recommend this product to anyone, the price is worth it."

Ecofan,

By brumax
from Northern New York
"The fan workded as stated. It was smaller than I thought it would be, but that's ok, because it fits well on our wood stove. It is amazing that it uses no electricity or batteries. that was what convinced us because we have solar power and do like to use the power if we don't have to."

Outstanding boost to my wood stove,
January 14, 2008
By WiseEOD
from Abilene, KS
"We already had a magic heat on the stove when we moved in, but this fan is a great addition to our system. It moves air and heat around even while the stove is still getting up to operating temperature. We noticed a differance in the overall comfort of the house the first night and when we lost electical power during an ice storm, the house stayed very comfortable and warm even without our electric fans running."

Ecofan Airplus,
January 14, 2008
By Patch
from North Norway, Europe
"I bought the Ecofan Airplus after seeing one at a friends cabin late fall 2007. I was so suppriced of the effect of the Ecofan Airplus, that immediatly after comming home from the trip I went online to find one.
When I got my Ecofan Airplus, I brought is to my hunting cabin for the Norwegian pre Christmas deer hunting. The temperature in the cabin upon arrival was about 0'F, and the warming of the cabin had to start. To get the cabin to about 72'F, usually takes 6-8 hour when the temperatures are so low.
The big differense this year was that I had the Ecofan Airplus with me. And this time it only took me about 2hrs to get the cold out of the cabin. And I must say that I was even more impressed than the first time I saw the Ecofan Airplus in action. Due to the circulation of the warm air from the stove, the cabin was heated form the floor up, instead of the roof down.
I could even see the effect of the fan on some candels 10-15 ft away with the flickering of the light.
After telling friends about the Ecofan Airplus and its effect, all of them wanted one for their cabins.
I only have one thing to say about the Ecofan Airplus. "If you have a cabin or a house with a wood stove and temperatures have a tendancy to drop, the Ecofan Airplus is a MUST".
I would recomend this product in a heart beat.....
